What are dabs?

Dabs are the small portions of concentrated cannabis product that are used when you are, well, dabbing.

Dabbing itself is done with a rig or a specific electronic vaporizer capable of tolerating high heat.  Cannabis concentrates need a higher amount of heat to be used, so traditional smoking methods don’t cut the mustard.

Dab rigs are glass contraptions similar to bongs with a nail or banger that is capable of withstanding the heat necessary to vaporize concentrate. You use a powerful heat source like a blowtorch to activate the cannabis concentrate and then capture the smoke and inhale again, much like a bong.

Concentrate vaporizers on the other hand, are typically small electronic devices that take preset amounts of concentrate and deliver a similar experience every time.

Dab rigs allow you to customize the volume of smoke that you’re getting, and some people simply enjoy the process of using a dab rig and all the extras that it comes with. Electronic vaporizers provide a higher degree of convenience and are far more discreet but don’t offer the same experience.

Types of concentrate

There are many types of concentrate available on the market. You may have heard of some already.

• Live resin:
